The Art of the Eraser

Why FDR

Years ago, before anyone heard of blogging or facebook posting or all of the outlets we have now for getting our thoughts out to others, I started writing. Poems, short stories, an incomplete novel or two, never completing them or publishing them, just wrote them for my own feeling of accomplishment I guess. Anyway, I established right away, that if I were ever to get serious about writing and actually publish one of my works, I would use the pen name, F.D.R.

Those are my transposed initials from my youth, second name first, so anyone who actually knows me, or knew me back then, will get the meaning.

In school, because of our last name and to this day some still think we are a relative of the famous F.D.R. This played somewhat of a role in me choosing to set up my blog with those initials instead of my real ones, and also, as every writer can understand, sometimes you write better if you write under a pen name instead of your own.
